Client: Panta Systems

A new class of server is required for the Virtualized Datacentre. It must be capable of dynamically and independently scaling multiple dimensions, shaping itself to support the application and business process - in other words, a new class of servers that can allocate processors, memory, I/O bandwidth and controllers from separate resource pools, configuring each server with the required capabilities to achieve optimal performance and availability. Intelligent and dynamic reconfiguration of the system, from flexible pools of resources, enables the creation of a balanced system designed to meet the needs of any application (Scale Up). Finally, for applications that run on a cluster of servers, thousands of individual nodes can be configured while sharing a high-performance interconnect, delivering high bandwidth and low interconnect latency sufficient to meet the needs of any application (Scale Out).

  • PANTAmatrix Datacentre Server: Simple, Flexible, Powerful PANTAmatrix by PANTA Systems Inc. is the first family of servers designed specifically for the Virtualized Datacentre. Key elements are “plug and play” scalability of compute power (up to 16 processors per server), and a shared I/O subsystem that makes it possible to dynamically configure the amount of I/O associated with each compute node. PANTAmatrix utilizes industry-standard technologies to ensure maximum interoperability and ease of use when integrating into existing infrastructure.
  • PANTAmatrix Datacentre Server: Simple, Flexible, Powerful (continued) PANTAmatrix is also the first family of servers designed with the rising costs of energy and data centre floor space in mind. Using high-efficiency power supplies and low-power components, it delivers more processing power per kW and dissipates less heat than any other similarly configured enterprise class server. In addition, it is the first enterprise class server with compute modules that feature a standby mode that takes their power consumption down to zero during idle periods. With its strong computing and I/O capabilities, configurability and power efficiency, PANTAmatrix is an ideal platform for IT organizations offering the best possible Quality of Service, highest utilization and lowest Total Cost of Ownership.
  • Applications Enhanced by PANTAmatrix Its scalable compute power, high bandwidth and low latency make PANTAmatrix particularly suitable for applications that require large amounts of data to be moved and processed in real-time. Examples of this are Database Processing, Data Warehousing and Decision Support Systems; Streams processing in Financial Services, Telecom, and Government; and technical computing applications in Manufacturing, Energy, and Visual Rendering.
  • Summary With PANTAmatrix, PANTA Systems has introduced a new class of server that addresses the current and future needs of IT organizations - powerful compute systems that provide improved Quality of Service and rapid response to changing requirements, while at the same time reducing expenses in the face of rising energy costs and limited data centre floor space.

Client: Viziqor

Viziqor Solutions is reshaping the service provider's back office through the deployment of market-focused, results-driven solutions and cost-effective implementations. At more than 100 sites in 40 countries around the globe, Viziqor's proven solutions for convergent billing, OSS, inventory management, network management, mediation, and revenue assurance are helping wireline and wireless operators improve the efficiency of their core business operations while managing their customers and networks with greater precision and control.

Today's fragmented back office systems provide a fertile ground for revenue leakage. Industry statistics estimate that on average, service providers are losing anywhere from 3% to 11% of gross revenue every year because of leaks, gaps and undetected errors in their operational processing. Unless detected and corrected in a timely manner, even the smallest of leaks can silently siphon away a provider's profit potential.

Viziqor's highly configurable Asuriti solution provides a proactive approach to revenue assurance and cost management. By providing an automated process for the ongoing review and analysis, comparison and processing of millions of records, Asuriti facilitates more timely detection and resolution of problems. The system is inherently flexible enough to address a wide range of scenarios where revenue leakage is likely – in both wireline and wireless environments.

At the heart of the solution, Asuriti uses intricate business rules to validate, track, analyze, and enhance data so that you can identify discrepancies and errors as they occur, before they result in lost revenue. Once a problem is detected, Asuriti continues its work, taking action based on the specific condition and business rules you put into place. For example, the system can flag a record with an appropriate error code, produce dispute files for records that are erroneously billed, and allow for recycling of erred events back into the revenue stream.

Asuriti works pre-emptively to detect problems that could otherwise delay or obstruct operational processing and negatively impact both costs and revenues. Whether it is a file from a partner, internal switch usage, circuit information, or provisioning records flowing between systems, the system has the ability to capture data from all types of networks or systems, and transform it into useful business intelligence that can be understood and acted upon.

Client: LGC Wireless

As the number of wireless users continues to skyrocket, new voice and data devices debut, and productivity-enhancing applications multiply, wireless becomes increasingly vital to business. Despite the advances in handset technology and network protocols, the wireless experience is only as good as your network connection. When signals meet obstacles like concrete and steel, when the number of users outstrips available capacity or when you have to walk to the window to carry on your call, the bright promise of wireless dims. That's where LGC Wireless steps in. They have set the industry standard for delivering wireless signals in the face of complex challenges. The InterReach™ family extends coverage into buildings that range from small offices to towering skyscrapers and sprawling public venues, and the MetroReach® products expand the outdoor network. EMS is assisting LGC Wireless with the establishment of European reseller and system integrator partnerships.
